Vacuum Sealed For Freshness

The October issue of my favorite knitting magazine, Simply Knitting, arrived at my house. It’s got some wonderful Halloween patterns in it that I hope to get knitted up for the big day. (Halloween is serious business in this house.)

In addition to that, I got some knitting needles and vacuum sealed yarn!

It’s vacuum sealed for ease of transport. Makes sense considering it shipped from the UK. It also came with instructions on how to open it, which made me chuckle.

It’s Bergere de France, which is a yarn I regularly see the patterns in this magazine calling for. But it’s not something I’ve ever seen in my many (many, many) trips to various yarn stores, so I’m excited to get my hands on some.

There’s a darling little baby hat pattern from this issue that will use up the skein.

Since I know so many babies soon to be welcomed into the world I think this will be well used.
