Last solar eclipse I remember happening in my area was in the 5th grade. Recess was canceled all day because we were too young for any of us to be counted on to avoid looking at the sun. Except the 6th graders. They got to make pin hole cameras to view it. Anyway, my point is that day sucked. Today, though, Mr Liu and I righted that wrong.
The view from our porch:
(Taken with my camera over my shoulder. I’m certain the camera on my phone is now blind.)
And here is what we saw from our pin hole (not in camera form, we’re not that fancy).
(Many thanks to Mr Liu for his fabulous hand modeling!)
That, ladies and gents (all one of you), is how you view a solar eclipse without burning out your retinas.
And I still got recess today. Take that Ms Campbell!
