Back at the beginning of the month, I had some friends over to watch the Super Bowl and eat delicious food with. Before that could happen, I had to make the house (that’s overstating – basically just the living room and kitchen) guest friendly. I had to move the *mumblesnumber* bags of yarn out of the living room and back in the guest room. While consolidating the bags to maintain the path from the door to the window for the cats, I found this:
I found it just like that, beads already strung, sitting in a plastic bowl Mr. Liu thought had been lost (oops) with needles and a pattern. Since it appeared that everything was already set up, I decided to knit it. The pattern is for a bag called Exploring Spirals (there’s a sister bag called Exploring Waves that has a different bead pattern).
It’s knitting up quickly. If Mr. Liu plays one more session of Assassins Creed, I’ll have a finished purse:
I have to tell you, though, this project is really, really boring. Without the beads, the knitting would be all plain stockinette save the band at the opening. Usually I survive plain stockinette with entertaining colorways. Not here. The colors are boring . What on earth was I thinking pairing beige with tan? It’s not like me at all. I’m really more of a variegated fuchsia/purple/maroon with lime green beads kind of girl.
