In the fall, my Sundays are spent knitting, drinking and watching football. Mr. Liu’s friends come over and we all take advantage of our NFL Sunday Ticket and flip to games not shown locally. Which is good, since both San Francisco and Oakland are depressing to watch this season. (Thank heavens for Cal!) This picture kind of sums the day up for me:
(I hate the Pats. The only time I cheer for SF is when they play Denver or New England.)
The beer in the photo is Sam Adam’s October-fest. Delicious. The yarn in the photo is Crystal Palace’s Panda Silk. It’s a lovely yarn to work with and it’s so very soft. One of the lovely girls I work with gave me two 20% off coupons to two of my three favorite yarn stores, so made her a scarf in thanks.
This pattern is from Crystal Palace’s web site, the Wave Stitchscarf. I’m embarrassed to say how many times I had to restart the scarf because I couldn’t figure out what looked like a simple pattern. Silly me, I wasn’t reading the whole thing. It clearly says “Note: Drop yo’s off needle on row following rows 4 and 12.” I even kept thinking to myself “but this looks like a drop stitch pattern…” I’m slow sometimes. I gave it to my coworker on Monday and she’s worn it everyday since. I’m glad she likes it.
Ahh, sweet, lazy Sundays. Darkness and Kali like to relax on Sundays, too.
